Amazon is the world’s largest online retailer, and the company has built its own logistics network including developing the Delivery Service Partner program to address its last mile delivery needs. Amazon originally relied exclusively on third-party delivery companies such as UPS, FedEx, and USPS. As Amazon’s demand grew, so did the company’s need for delivery capacity and reliability. The current version of the DSP Program started in 2018. Amazon claims that its DSP partners are independent third-party contractors. This CLE will provide attendees with an analysis of the contract terms and program policies that govern Amazon DSP partners, provide details regarding the day-to-day realities of what an Amazon DSP delivery driver experiences, and discuss strategies for holding Amazon accountable in a collision involving one of its DSP partners. You will also see exclusive videos from our firm’s 2024 trial in Gwinnett County against Amazon.
