Session I - Artificial Intelligence and Consumer Protection: What You Need to Know – Matthew D. Kohel

This session will cover the recent increase in consumer protection enforcement actions brought by regulatory bodies regarding artificial intelligence (AI) and the legal and practical implications for businesses. Attendees will gain insights into regulatory expectations and actions relating to the use of AI, governance, risk management, and compliance strategies, and the landscape of applicable state and federal laws.

Matt is IAPP CIPM certified and assists clients with privacy program development, implementation, and management. Matt writes regularly and is a frequent speaker and panelist on artificial intelligence, especially as related to intellectual property, data privacy, and corporate policies on the use and management of artificial intelligence in the workplace.
