Program Summary

This CLE focuses on litigation lessons that I have learned in my career as a trial attorney to help transactional attorneys improve their drafting and structuring of real estate documents. We will discuss how my experience in the court room can help transactional attorneys be better at anticipating pitfalls, eliminating contractual ambiguities, and advising clients more effectively. I will also provide basic tips for transactional attorneys if they are forced to appear in a court room.

Key topics to be discussed:

  • Clear drafting
  • Anticipating future scenarios
  • Clear allocation of risk
  • Litigating complicated issues in court using disclosures and due diligence as defenses

This course is co-sponsored with myLawCLE.
