The discussion will examine key aspects such as trade frameworks, regulatory alignment, and cross-border economic cooperation, as well as implications for sectors like technology, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and financial services. Additional attention will be given to how the agreement may address digital trade, labor and environmental standards, and data privacy in a post-Brexit, post-pandemic economic context. The program will also consider the role of various branches of the U.S. government in shaping, approving, and executing the agreement, and how existing tariffs, ongoing litigation, and broader trade tensions could impact both the negotiation process and the outcome. Participants will gain a nuanced understanding of the legal complexities and practical ramifications of this significant transatlantic negotiation.
