Program Summary

This engaging CLE program uses six dynamic video vignettes (6-7 minutes each) to depict real-world scenarios where conflicts of interest may arise in legal practice. Each vignette presents a hypothetical situation involving attorneys and clients, designed to challenge participants to identify potential conflicts under the Rules of Professional Conduct. Following each vignette, a guided discussion will explore whether the scenario constitutes a prohibited conflict of interest, how such conflicts might have been avoided, and strategies for rectifying conflicts when they occur. This interactive format encourages sophisticated analysis, helping attorneys recognize and address conflicts that are not immediately apparent.

This course is co-sponsored with myLawCLE.

Key topics to be discussed:

  • Identify potential conflicts of interest in various legal contexts
  • Apply the Rules of Professional Conduct to assess conflict scenarios
  • Develop strategies to avoid, manage, and rectify conflicts of interest
  • Enhance ethical decision-making skills in complex legal situations
